<br /> <br />2.2.4.4 FF Seam <br />The FF seam is stratigraphically the uppermost coal bed planned for <br />mining, It is also the thickest and stratigraphically lowest coal bed in the Goff Coal <br />group, It occurs approximately 2,200 feet above the base of the Williams Fork <br />Formation and about 1,200 feet above the P seam and Upper P seam, the next lower <br />seams planned for mining, Thickness of the FF-seam coal ranges from 7 to 10 feet, <br />averaging approximately 9 feet. Locally, greater thickness ranges do occur, <br />resulting from merging of coal beds, drag folding, structural rolls and bed repetition <br />where association with faulting occurs. <br />F-11 <br />
