•
presents a discussion of the monitoring results through 1986. The Lux
well, which is located in the First White Sandstone, was sampled in
December of 1987 to define the baseline conditions prior to the mining
in the Browning and Colt pits.
Several springs have also been monitored in 1987 to further
define the ground-water quality. Colt Seep and Cottonwood Spring have
been sampled to define ground-water quality discharging in these
areas. Observed discharges in June of 1987 at Colt and Cottonwood
seeps were 1.1 gpm and 2.3 gpm, respectively. Also the North and West
Springs near the Lux house were sampled in December of 1987 to define
the conditions at these two springs. The North and West springs were
• observed flowing at 84 gpm and 18 gpm in December of 1987.
Surface-water flow and quality have been monitored at the Flume,
Pyeatt, Johnson, No Name, Coyote, Buzzard and Ute sites during 1987.
The Johnson, No Name, Coyote, Buzzard and Ute sites are at Trapper's
NPDES sites 001, 002, 005, 006 and 008, respectively.
r 1
U
1-2
