The average annual production of air-.dry vegetation
ranges from 1,500 to 2,500 pounds per acre.
The potential plant community on the Waybe soil is mainly
~-,
western wheatgrass, bluebunch wheatgrass, prairie junegrass, mutton-
grass, mountain big sagebrush, mountain snowberry, and Utah service
berry. The average annual production of air-dry vegetation ranges
from 200 to 900 pounds per acre.
If the range condition deteriorates on both soils, less pre-
(erred forage plants increase, In poor condition, undesirable plants
are dominant. Therefore, grazing should he managed so that the
desired balance of species is maintained in the plant community.
Management practices suitable for use on this soil are proper
grazing use and a planned grazing system.
Deep Clay Loam Range Site ~Aaberg part)
Mountain Shale Range Site (Waybe part)
Y
