Hydrology Inputs and Design September 2, 1997 <br />1) Stock tank design* <br />- Per USSCS Public Standard 378 "Ponds", Colorado, January 1989. <br />In general the ponds will have the following chazacteristics: <br />- Combination excavation and minimal embankment type dugout construction. <br />- Less than two acre feet in volume. <br />- Source of runoff: surface runoff from topsoil and revegetated azeas. <br />- Cutoff trench for seepage control. <br />- Maximum 3:1 slopes on side slopes. <br />- Topsoiled and vegetated. <br />- Top of structure width at least 10 feet. <br />- Embankments will be less than 5 feet high from the bottom of channel measured at the <br />inside toe of any embankment to the bottom of open spillway. <br />* An as-built summary table will be submitted upon completion of construction. <br />2) Open channel spillway <br />Minimum width will be 8 feet. <br />Grass lined spillway. <br />3) Inspections <br />Until such time that inspection requirements for small livestock water tanks aze modified <br />by the Division, these structures will be inspected quarterly and certified by a P.E.. A copy of <br />the inspection report form is attached. The completed inspection forms w711 be submitted in the <br />Annual Reclamation Reports. <br />Professional Engineer Certification <br />I Steven R.
