S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers has been charged with the responsibility to regulate the <br />discharge of dredged or fill material into waters of the United States <br />under the Clean Water Act as amended (33 USC 1344). <br />Section 404 of the Act provides a Department of the Army Permit be <br />required prior to the beginning of such work.
