Areas that fall within the proposed gravel mine and conveyor site that are identified, described <br />and documented herein as uplands, or those passing the FAC Neutral test that do not maintain all <br />three requisites are considered Non-jurisdictional wetlands or Waters of the U.S. <br />Remaining azeas exhibited on Figure 2, Jurisdictional Wetland Map that are labeled as non- <br />applicable jurisdictional waters will not be affected by the proposed activity. Therefore, no <br />jurisdictional determination is requested for these specific areas. <br />Classification of wetlands and waters of the U.S. described herein are in accordance with the <br />U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Classification Svstem for Wetlands and Deepwater <br />Habitats (Cowazdin et. al., 1979). <br />Summary <br />WALSH is herein formally requesting a written verification of the Waters of the U.S. and <br />wetland boundaries, as described herein and as identified on Figure 2, Jurisdictional Wetland <br />Topographic Map and Figure 3, Jurisdictional Wetland Aerial Map. Total jurisdictional wetlands <br />equa12.50 acres. Total jurisdictional Waters of the U.S. equa10.07 acre. <br />Please contact me if you have any questions or if I can provide additional information. If you <br />feel that a site visit is necessary and you would like a Walsh field scientist to meet with you on <br />site, please call me to arrange a meeting time.
