LISTS OF OTHER PERMITS AND LICENSES REQUIRED EXHIBIT F
• The following permits are needed for the site:
1) County (special use) approval -this document is being supplied to the Rio Blanco County
Planning office for approval. County Planning hearing is scheduled for August 2, 2001.
2) CDOH combined storm water/process water discharge permit is needed from The Colorado
Department of Health since water will be pumped from the dewatering trench into the wetland. This
permit was applied for on July 20, 2001.
3) No fugitive air emissions permit is needed since the site will mine less than 70,000 tons per year
and the operation will be wet in nature. An APEN form has been filed with CDOH Air Quality
Control to verify that the emissions are low enough that a permit is not needed. Air emissions
permits will be in place for the portable crusher and screen plant that is utilized on site. At this time,
it is not known which of these existing portable facilities owned by United will be moved on site.
4) The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has reviewed the site and has issued approval based on the
letter included in Appendix E.
5) BLM has approved the use of its portions of the access road leading to the permit area. This
approval is included in the right of entry information in Appendix A.
•
Piceance Pit 7/01 27
