<br />' There is suitable habitat for the small herbivores in <br />' the vicinity of the mining operation. This, coupled with <br />their ability to quickly adapt to surrounding areas, should <br />' preclude even a moderate impact of mining operations on this <br />' form of wildlife. <br />The impact of the mining operation should be minimal on <br />the larger herbivores since these animals migrate to higher <br />elevations during the summer when gravel pit mining opera- <br />' tions are most active (Travnicek, 1977). <br />' Currently there are no endangered wildlife species inhab- <br />iting or having existing migratory routes in the vicinity <br />of the mining site.
