<br /> <br />EXI-IIBIT B-Site Description <br />1. A description of the vegetation and soil characteristics are as follows: <br />Vegetation consists of pinion trees, cedar trees, and sagebrush. <br />Soils: The soils in this zone are deep. They also contain free salts in their profiles. The <br />soils are variable in texture, being loamy, clayey, or sandy. They are generally low in <br />organic matter. Small areas of deep, dark, loamy, fertile soils are present as well as small <br />areas of rough gullied land, badlands, stone filled soils, rockland and wet soils. There is <br />only about 2 inches of topsoil on the affected area at this time. Please see attached Exhibit <br />B-l . <br />2. Identify any permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected area and the <br />owner of each structure such as houses, barnes, fences, above ground utilities, irrigation <br />ditches, maintained or public roads, and etc.. There are no man-made structures on the <br />effected area. There will be no structures located on Exhibit E map. <br />3. A description of the water resources in the area of the proposed operation. Identify any <br />streams, springs, lakes, stockwater ponds, ditches, reservoirs, and aquifiers which would <br />receive drainage directly from the affected area. There is no water on the affected land or <br />any in the immediate area. <br />4. There is very little wildlife on the affected area . <br />`~B-1 <br />Extraction of gravel from this site entails stockpiling a very small amount of topsoil, using <br />front end loaders to transport gravel to the crusher, and then stockpiling the gravel in <br />specific piles for use as needed. At any one time, enough gravel is processed to supply in <br />excess of 1 years needs. <br />
