H. Schipke <br />Gentlemen: <br />Enclosed please find one copy of drillers log, one copy of pumping <br />test with recovery, one copy of drawdown curve and one copy of <br />recovery curve. Plus a pump curve showing the puma we propose to <br />install. <br />~v-~ <br />The well was drilled to a deoth of 1,132 ft. with the Twenty Mile <br />Sands starting at approximately 955 ft. The screen starts at 1,012 ft. <br />and extends 120 ft. to 1,132 £t. The well was pumped corltinuousl.y for <br />24 hours at 80 gpm. Dra;vdown at the end of 24 hours ;vas 963 ft. <br />IIsing these figures ;ve cone up with a specific capacity of .22. Usil;g <br />1 hour drawdown or .17 using the enure drawdo;vn. Fiourina the <br />transmissibility on both drawdown and recovery we come un with a <br />transmissibility of 8~1 canons per day per foot, and 77 gallons per <br />day per foot. So it looks like 75 cpm is a maximum output that should <br />be expected from the well. If a 75 gpm pump is desired, the anticipated <br />24 hour drawdewrr for '75 gpm is approximately 431 ft. The static level <br />of 36 ft, ecuals a 24 hour pumping level of 467 ft. Adding a 25a factor <br />for colTtinuous pumniny we come up with a SB4 ft. pumping level. For <br />head design purposes ;ve would use a 500 ft. pumping level plus 50 lbs. <br />at the surface, or 115 ft. for a total head of. G15 ft. at 75 gpm. <br />The pump that comes the closest to meeting these conditions is a Reda <br />38DSSE, set 600 ft. on 3" black pipe with 600 ft. of No. 8 cable plus <br />airline and fittings. The total for this pump installed is $10,090.C0. <br />Zf you want to stay with the 50 gpm pump that we originally talked <br />• about, w•e would anticipate a drawdo•.m of 287 ft. plus 36 ft. static, <br />plus 115 ft. above the ground for a design condition of appror.imately <br />450 ft. The pump best suited for these conditions is a 33DSOP, and <br />wou13 be set 400 ft. on 2" galvanized pipe with 400 ft. of No. 12 <br />3-wired jacketed cable, airline and fittings.
