<br />existing culvert at the west end of the site will provide drainage away from the excavation area <br />and funneled under State I-Tighway 142. <br />J. There are no anticipated conflicts with any applicable Colorado Water Laws since there is <br />ao plan to utilize on or off-site water for the operation. <br />IC. No refuse or acid or toxic producing materials will be exposed. <br />L. No disturbance of hydrologic balance is anticipated other that the channeling of storm <br />water drainage. Reclaimed area will be compatrble with adjacent dry rangeland. <br />M. Gravel deposit will be processed at site by a simple screening operation as illustrated in <br />mining drawing. <br />N. Primary and secondary commodities are gravel to be used for road base. <br />0. Incidental products from operation will be screened gravel residuals to be used for <br />reclamation. <br />See exhibit E reap <br />EXHIBIT D ~~ <br />Reclamation Plan <br />1. Purpose: To stabilize soil, reduce damage from sedimeot and runoffto downstream areas, <br />and improve wildlife habitat and visual resources. Applicable areas are surface-mined areas <br />where vegetation is difficult to establish by usual planting methods <br />A. Overburden will be replaced at extraction areas upon termination of excavation. <br />Estimated depth of replacement will be under 12 inches since there is a very shallow <br />level oftop sod. <br />B. Land slopes should not exceed SO percent (2:1) and should be flatter where feasible <br />and practicable. <br />C. Revegetation measures: <br />(i) Topsoiling <br />In the event that the soils have insufficient depth or have physical characteristics <br />unsuitable for development of vegetative cover, topsoil or soil material having <br />the capability of supporting the planned vegetative planting shall be brought in <br />and spread over the deficient areas. The material must be applied uniformly in <br />sufficient depth to support the type and quality of vegetative cover planned for <br />the site. <br />{u) Seedbed preparation <br />
