Box 449 <br />Florence, CO 81226 <br />RE: 1st - 4th Quarter 2001 Discharge Monitoring Reports <br />1st - 3rd Quarter 2002 Discharge Monitoring Reports <br />Raton Creek Mine, Permit No. C-82-055 <br />Mr. Patterson: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology has completed review of the 15` - 4th quarter <br />Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMR's) for 2001 and the 1 S` - 3rd quarter DMR's for <br />2002 for the Raton Creek mine,#C-82-055: <br />These reports comply with the requirements of Rule 4.05.13(2)(a)(iii)(A) for submittal of <br />completed forms to meet NPDES permit requirements. Data is consistent generally <br />with field observations. Discharge occurring late in the 3ro quarter was not sampled due <br />to the frequency of visitation. Please make every attempt to collect a storm water <br />discharge sample from the single sediment pond at this site. <br />We have no further questions or comments at this time.
