Soil Type - A soils map and soils descriptions are attached. The four soils most likely to <br /> contain sand/gravel materials are: <br /> ♦ 435 Ft. Collins loam, (gravel's below 60") <br /> ♦ #52 Kim - Cascajo complex <br /> ♦ #72 Midway- Cascajo complex <br /> ♦ #128 Wiley loam <br /> 2. Construction Material - Selected pages from the soil survey for construction materials are <br /> attached. Also enclosed are selected sections for Rangeland Productivity, Wildlife Habitat <br /> and Physical Properties of the soils. These guides refer to the upper 60" of soil material. <br /> 3. pH of Soils - Each soil description notes the average general acid/alkalinity level. If more <br /> precise information is needed, it is available on table 16 of the Soil Survey Report, (not <br /> attached). <br /> 4. Vegetative Inventory - A vegetative inventory made 6/28/99 on the principal site being <br /> considered for mining, soil 435; identified these plants in descending order by population: <br /> blue grama, red three-awn grass, squirrel tail grass, sand drop seed, slimstem scurf pea, <br /> fringed sage, prickly pear and cholla cactii, and various weeds. The grass stand was well <br /> • established with little or no erosion. Plants found on the more gravely breaks site, soil #72, <br /> included blue grama, sideoats grama, western wheatgrass, ring muhly, needleandthread grass, <br /> CONSERVATION-DEVELOPMENT- SELF-GOVERNMENT <br />
