Response comments follow the order <br />presented m your letter. <br />1. Items concerning the response from the Office of the State Engineer following the pre-operational <br />inspection of 11/20/03 as follows: <br />• Exposure of groundwater is not anticipated and will not occur dtuing mining operations or <br />after reclamation activities have been completed. <br />• The offsite water source for water to he used for site operations (ie dust abatement) is dte <br />City of Jontrose, Colorado. Hater is purchased via city meter as needed at the site. <br />• 311 site stormwaters wili be controlled, diverted (contained to swales and ditches) and <br />otherwise temporally contained and allowed to settle prior to release from the site widen 72 <br />hours. <br />2. :1s per Rule 6.4.4(1): Explosives will not be used at the site. <br />3. Secondary containment for site hazardous materials (ie. temporary fuel urd lubricants for mobile <br />process equipment) has been constructed and consists of a bermed enclosure surrounding the <br />[empoxary site fuel storage area (tardr and drums) observed during the recent site inspection of <br />11/20/03. <br />
