Box 459 <br />Florence, CO 81226 <br />Re: Southfield Mine <br />Annual 2007 Sediment Pond Inspections <br />Second Quarter 2007 Coal Waste Bank Inspection <br />Dear Mr. Patterson: <br />On June 26, 2007, the sediment control ponds at the Southfield Mine and Loadout were <br />inspected for structural integrity, erosion, hazardous conditions, and to identify required <br />maintenance. This inspection satisfies Rule 4.05.9 (15) of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining. <br />The Coal Waste Bank was also inspected on January 8, 2007.
