incorporating certain changes during project implementation. This second effort had a <br />better degree of success than the first at most of the slopes. One slope has not <br />measurably improved, likely as a result of periodic scour by snow loading. <br />Data has been collected from the slopes annually. The data was utilized in a side-by-side <br />model for the purpose of evaluating the relative impacts of the revegetation work to <br />sediment generation from each of the mine bench outslopes. The model indicates that <br />sediment generation has decreased appreciably at most of the outslopes. However, it is <br />unlikely that the degree of improvement can be measured by a commensurate decrease of <br />iron loading in Coal Creek. <br />16 <br />
