COLORADO HISTORICAL SOCIETY <br />Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation <br />1300 Broadway Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />Betty Miller <br />Miller Consulting <br />748 Starling Lane <br />Elizabeth, CO 80107 <br />10/24/1989 <br />At your request, the Office of Archaeology and Historic <br />Preservation has conducted a search of the Colorado Inventory <br />of Cultural Resources for the following locations: <br />PM TWNSHP RANGE SECTIONS: <br />6TH 20S 69W 7 8 17 18 19 20 29 30 31 32 <br />6TH 20S 70W 10 11 12 13 14 15 22 23 24 25 <br />6TH 20S 70W 26 36 <br />ZONE; METERS EAST METERS NORTH: <br />• COUNTY: <br />15 site(s) were located in the designated area(s). <br />1 survey(s) were located in the designated area(s) <br />Results of the search are summarized in the attached report. <br />If information on sites in the project area was found, <br />detailed site information follows the summary. If no sites <br />were found, but surveys are known to have been conducted in <br />the project area, survey information follows the summary. We <br />do not have complete information on surveys conducted in <br />Colorado, and our site files cannot be considered complete <br />because most of the state .has not been surveyed for cultural <br />resources. There is the possibility that as yet unidentified <br />cultural resources exist within the proposed impact area. <br />Therefore, in the event there is Federal or State <br />involvement, we recommend that a professional survey be <br />conducted to identify any cultural resources in the project <br />area which are eligible to be listed in the National Register <br />of Historic Places. We look forward to consulting with you <br />regarding the effect of the proposed project on any eligible <br />. cultural resource in accordance with the Advisory Council on <br />Historic Preservation Procedures and the Preservation and <br />Protection of Historic and Cultural Resources (36 CFR 800). <br />Please provide this office with the results of the cultural <br />resource survey for our review of professional adequacy and <br />compliance with regulations. <br />,. { <br />
