Colorado 81501 <br />Attn: Henry Barbe <br />Environmental Technician <br />s ~-, - ~,. <br />Re: Cultural Resources Inventory for Dorchester-Colomine Coal <br />Company 1n Fremont County, Colorado <br />Dear Mr. Barbe: <br />This letter is written in response to your request to either resolve <br />or substantiate a discrepancy in an application to the Colorado <br />• Mined Land Reclamation Division about the question of whether or <br />not cultivation took place within the area legally described as <br />T.205., R.69M., Section 30, NE ;NW ;, 6th P.M. The area lies along a <br />low ridge, and is proposed as amine dump. It was observed at the <br />time of the survey to have been previously disturbed and I had pre- <br />sumed such disturbance to be mine related and possibly cultivated. <br />The conclusion that this area may have been cultivated cannot, at <br />this writing, be substantiated by any known records. In any case. <br />these ]ands cannot be considered 'prime farmland'. <br />I hope my letter settles any controversy in this matter.
