<br />fomance of this centract the lessee agrees as follows:
<br />(1) The lessee will not discriminate against
<br />any employee or applicant for employment because of

<br />orders of the Secretary of Labor, or pursuant !hereto,
<br />and will permit access to his books, re<ods, and ac•
<br />wants by the contracting agency and the Secretary of
<br />Labor (or purposes of investigation to ascertain compli-
<br />ance with such rules, regulations, end orders,
<br />(6) )n the event of the lessee's noncompliance
<br />with the nondiscrimination clauses of this contract or
<br />with any of such rules, regulations, or oilers, this
<br />mntnct may 6e cancelled, terminated or suspended
<br />in whole or in part and the Lessee may 6e declared
<br />ineligible for further Government contracts in eccatd-
<br />ance with procedures authorized in Executive Order
<br />No, tI246 0( September 24, 1965, and such other sano-
<br />lions may be imposed end remedies invoked as provided
<br />in Executive Order No. 21246 of September 24, 1965,
<br />or by role, regulation, or order of the Secretary of
<br />Labor, or es otherwise provided by law.
<br />(y) The lessee will include the provisions of
<br />Paragraphs (I) through (y) in every subcontract or
<br />pur<hese order unless exempted by rules, regulations,.
<br />w orders of the Secretary of Labor Issued pursuant to
<br />Setxim 204 of Executive Ordw No. 11246 of Sep-
<br />tember 24, 1965, so that such provisions will be binding
<br />upon each subcontrodw or vendor. The lessee will
<br />take such action with respect to any subcontract or
<br />purchase order es the contracting agency may direct
<br />es a means of rntorcing such povisions including
<br />sanctions for noncompliance: Provided, boweves Tha[
<br />in the „event the lessee becomes involved in, or is
<br />threatened with, litigation with a subcontractor or
<br />vendor as a result of such direction by the contrawing
