AmerAlia, Inc. <br />INTRODUCTION <br />AM2 Drilling and Completion Report <br />This report summarizes the data and information generated during the drilling and completion of <br />AmerAlia, Inc.'s alluvia] monitoring well AM2 in late January 2000. <br />LOCATION, DESCRIPTION, AND HISTORY <br />AM2 is located on Mazathon Oil Company property, just outside the most easterly part of the <br />Rock School Lease (Federal Sodium Lease C-0119985), Rio Blanco County, Colorado <br />(Figure 1) in the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 1 South, <br />Range 98 West, at a ground elevation of 6,274 feet (Figure 2). More specifically, AM2 is <br />1,129.6 feet from the north line of Section 21 and 1,649.7 feet from the west line of Section 21. <br />AM2 was completed as a groundwater monitoring well for the Yellow Creek Alluvial Aquifer <br />System (Figure 3) at a total depth (TD) of 90 feet. Personnel from Daub & Associates, Inc., <br />were on site intermittently during drilling and completion of the well. Table 1 briefly <br />summarizes the drilling history of AM2. <br />Collins Drilling Company of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, mobilized a rotary pull-down rig to <br />the location on January 28, 2000, and drilled a 7-e'-inch-diameter hole from the surface to 48 feet. <br />Dry compressed air was used as a circulation medium. Drilling resumed on January 29, 2000, <br />from 48 feet to 90 feet (TD). Drilling of the well concluded on January 31, 2000. As illustrated <br />in Figure 4, the well was completed using gravel- and sand-packed 42-inch PVC casing (with the <br />lower 40 feet slotted). Table 1 provides a narrative describing the completion process. <br />STRATIGRAPHIC INTERCEPTS <br />AM2 spudded in surface colluvium and alluvium associated with the valley-fill of Yellow Creek. <br />These unconsolidated sands and gravels continued to a depth of about 82 feet. From 82 feet to <br />TD (90 feet), the bit penetrated the weathered and fractured Uinta Formation (Figure 4). <br />Daub & Associates, Inc. <br />
