DRYLD qD. pgIN CIPAL
547-2197
February 22, 1978
Mined Land Reclamation Division
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 80203
Gentlemen
I have been informed that the Colorado Mined Land Reclama-
tion Board will meet to consider an application by Valco,
Inc., to conduct a surface mining operation for sand and
gravel on lands some of which are immediately ad~asCent to
my home.
I am concerned. I find no provision for noise pollution
control. I find no provision to compel working hours to
be confined to a reasonable dally time-span such as 6t00am
to 6100pm, and a reasonable work week such as Monday thru
Friday. I find only a slight mention of dust control.
There should be a strong statement concerning dust control.
The "attractive residential area" includes my home so the
control of noise, dust, and work operations are important.
I would request careful thought be given to hauling in and
out and that all hauling be done at the north perimeter of
the area so as to avoid diminishing the value of the resi-
dential area now developed on the south perimeter.
Sincerely, y
1~R-u.~~° ~,. ~~~~:c-
Donald A.
