DMG Response <br />State Highway traffic issues fall under the jurisdiction of the Colorado Department of Transportation <br />and not the Division of Minerals and Geology <br />2. Air Quality and Dust <br />Multiple objectors raised a concern over the operation's affects on air quality and the production of dust. <br />DMG Response <br />The mining plan has accounted for water amounts used to control dust at the site. Air quality issues are <br />addressed by the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment. <br />3. Visual Impacts, Quality of Life, and Property Values <br />Multiple objectors raised a concern over the visual impacts resulting from the operation; how their <br />quality of life will be affected; and how the presence of the operation will affect their property values. <br />DMG Response <br />The Construction Materials Rules and Regulations and the Act do not address aesthetics issues, quality <br />of life issues, or property values related to gravel operations. <br />4. Noise <br />Noise <br />Multiple objectors raised concerns regarding noise resulting from mining activity <br />DMG Response <br />Land use and zoning issues fall under the jurisdiction of the county, and the Construction <br />Materials Rules and Regulations and the Act do not address issues related to noise. <br />C.
