Since the mining site will consist of granite
rock on both the high wall and quarry floor , the only sediment
material at the site will be granite fines . The natural
drainage from the site will percolate through a rock tallus
area on the west side of the quarry and will caspture the
minimal amount of sediment carried from the quarry site.
MINE PLAN (Exhibit B and C , No. 3 , Exhibit E , No . 1)
The Red area designated on Map 2 is the only area to
be mined. The initial estimations in the field were placed at
3 acres and were not corrected in the final typing of the
permit submitted to the State of Colorado . The estimate of
1 . 8 Ac is correct for this rock outcrop (Map 2 , Red Area) .
The Green area was included in this permit to show the affected
area of the existing road and location of the natural drainage
of the site . At no time will the drainage or the road area be
mined or used as a source of topsoil . These areas are to remain
intact for the life of the mine unless an amendment is applied
for with the State and the BLM. At this time , no such amend-
ments are anticipated.
