Consequently; at-the end of - - <br />S#~--- any given year, approximately one-third of the coal acreage to be mined during the next year will have - <br />been disturbed by topsoil removal activities. The total annual disturbed acreage figures in the table <br />include the coal areas mined and the advance topsoil removed areas, as well as the other disturbances <br />including spoil areas, existing and proposed haul roads, power lines, storage yards, and facilities. In <br />order to avoid the confusion created by too many overlapping yearly lines, only the graded areas for <br />each year are shown on the Backfilling and Grading Schedule, Exhibit 19-1 and 19-1 A. The facilities <br />including utility lines, haul roads, drainage and sediment control structures, and the dragline erection <br />pad are illustrated on Exhibits 12-2 and 12-2A and Exhibits 13-1 and 13-1 A, and are described in Tab <br />13. The areas of land that will be disturbed through the five-year permit term are shown on Exhibits <br />20-1 and 20-1 A.
