<br />Notice of Formal public Hearing <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board will reconsider its previous <br />decision to deny Pueblo Coal, Inc. application to renew a valid, existing <br />permit to conduct coal mining and reclamation operations for the Carbon <br />Junction Mine (Permit No. C-82-054) at their regular monthly meeting on <br />October 17 and 18, 1990 at 9:00 a.m., Room 318, Centennial Building, 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado. <br />The Carbon Junction operation is located in La Plata County, approximately 2 <br />1/4 miles south-east of Durango, Colorado. The mine is a surface coal mine <br />with an anticipated maximum production capacity of 500,000 tons per year. <br />The coal to be mined is privately owned, and the surface to be affected is <br />privately owned. The permit area encompasses approximately 536 acres in <br />Section 4, Township 34N, Range 9W, Section 33, Township 34 1/2N, Range 9W, <br />and Section 33, Township 35N, Range 9W, N.M.P.M. <br />Any person having an interest which is or may be adversely affected by the <br />Order, will be given opportunity to voice their concerns at the hearing. <br />Copies of the previous decision to not renew the permit are on file for public <br />inspection at the Mined Land Reclamation Division, Room 215, Centennial <br />Building, 1313 Sherman street, Denver, Colorado 80203 and at the County <br />Clerk's office in La Plata County. <br />HR/yjb <br />0331E <br />
