Cattany <br />Oak Creek <br />CO 80467 Division Director <br />, Natural Resource Trustee <br />Re: Eagle Mine Complex, C-1981-044, 2004 Water Quality Sampling <br />Dear Ms. White: <br />Eagle Mine Complex water monitoring plan while the mine is in Temporary Cessation requires that surface <br />water sites WF-1 and WF-2 be sampled one time per yeaz between July 20ei and August 30~ for parameters <br />listed in Appendix 29 Table 4, Type AA, and Table 9, Type F. On October 21, 2004, BTU-Empire/RAG- <br />EC submitted water quahty results from WF-1 and WF-2 collected August 13, 2004. This meets the water <br />quality sampling requirement fox these two sites. The TC water monitoring plan shown on page D-2 of <br />Permit Appendix 29, also shows that AVF-5 well needs to be sampled concurrently with the WF-1 sample. <br />No results were received for AVF-5 .
