Purpose: Deisgn a culvert for the Vent Shaft Access road crossing of Fish Creek at the following
Twentymile Mine coordinates (46,225N 21,925E) .
Design Parameters: Use 10-year, 24-hour storm = 1.8in
Land use: undisturbed, CN = 63
Watershed = 33, 765 ac (measured from USGS quad maps)
Use SEDCAD4 model and culvert design utility.
Results:
Peak Flow = 160cfs
Culvert Required = 60in CMP- with a minimum 2 feet compacted cover and riprap protection at inlet and
outlet.
