Permit Application
The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the importance
of the aggregate operation in Empire, Colorado to our Henderson
molybdenum operation. Our type of mining requires significant
quantities of sand and gravel for concrete use underground.
Presently cve purchase and use almost one-half of the total
production of the Ramsour pit (120,000 tons/year). There is
presently no other supplier of aggregate in these quantities
in our area. Without this source we might be forced to develop
a gravel source of our own. At this time we would much prefer
to continue to purchase it; therefore, we would appreciate
the board's approval of this permit.
Sincerely,
~~ ~ ~
H. R.
