The following information is submitted in response to your letter of
April 25, 1984 requesting additional information pertaining to our application
for a Technical Revision for a new Explosive Storage Area.
REQUIREMENT
Access road construction, drainage and reclamation should be
• addressed.
RESPONSE
1. Access Read Construction: Attached please find two additional exhibits
to the application. Exhibit A provides additional detail to road and
drainage structures. Exhibit B provides additional details specific to
road construction and culvert cross sections.
2. Access Read Drainage: The collection ditches (refer to Exhibits A s B)
will collect the drainage from the magazine area which then flows north
along the access road. An 18 inch culvert will direct the drainage flow
from the east side of the access road to the west side of the road. From
that point the combined flow will enter an existing colle=tion ditch below
the diesel storage tanks. This combined flow will then be directed into
the existing work area sediment pond.
3. Reclamation Should be Addressed: As stated in the April 3, 1984 applica-
tion, final reclamation will proceed in accordance with the approved plans
addressed in Rule 2.05 and Rule 4 as desc-ibed in tte Colowyo Permit Aop=i-
cation.
Specifically, the explosive magazine and access road areas will be graded
to blend in with the surrounding terrain, scarified, 12 inches of topsoil
replaced and seeded.
. REQUIREMENT
Design drawings and sizing specifications should be provided for the
collection ditch.
