Seeding. The proposed plan is to seed the reclaimed area to
both warm and cool season grasses with a double disk drill
equipped with depth bands and press wheels. Table 3 lists the
grass species, quantities, and rates at which they will be
planted. The cool season grasses will be planted in the fall or
' spring, whichever is closest to the termination of mining. The
warm season grasses will be mixed with the cool season grasses.
All seeding efforts will be planned to make maximum use of
available soil moisture in the spring, or to maximize physiolog-
' ical requirements of selected seed.
Fertilization. Fertilizer will be applied to the reclama-
lion surface at the rate of 250 pounds of 18-46-0 per acre. The
surface will then be tilled to a depth of 4-6 inches in prepara-
tion for the seeding. If barnyard/feedlot manure is available,
this will be substituted for the 18-46-0 to increase the organic
' content of the "soil." This would be a weed-free, low-salt, heat
treated comp ost. The fertilizer application will follow re-
spreading of topsoil and overburden over the graded mi ne surface.
' Any further fertilizer treatments will be evaluated as the grow-
ing seasons progress and will be applied when appropriate.
' Topsoiling. The area to be worked for gravel has previously
been stripped of topsoil. There is one topsoil stockpile and one
overburden pile which remain from more recent gravel operations.
The material in these stockpiles, along with any additional top-
' soil and overburden from current mining operations, will be re-
spread over the mined surface at project termination. We have
calculated a range of topsoilJoverburden depths of 2-6 inches
over the 9.8 acre permit area.
EXHIBIT F - Proof of Compliance with Local Government Zoning
' List of Permits, Licenses, and Approvals
• Air Pollution Emission Notice (APEN) from the Colorado
' Department of Health, Air Pollution Control Division
• Conditional Land Use Change Applications from the Adams
' County Commissioners and Planning Department
• Colorado Division of Wildlife
' • The above permits were applied for in April, 1983.
EXHIBIT G - Source of Legal Right to Enter (Attached)
' EXHIBIT H Reclamation Costs
' The estimated reclamation costs in 1983 dollars are given in
Table 4. The assumptions of the estimates are the following:

11
'
