9) Please supply documentation of the BLM's acceptance of the proposed seed mix. The local <br />BLM office has a preferred mix, which differs from the one proposed. Also, only one shrub <br />species is noted. The Division will require at least one and preferably 2 additional species such <br />as Rabbit Bn~sh, Bitter Brush or Sage. <br />10) Although the impact of the operation appears to be minimal to wildlife, please submit a <br />statement of the general effects of the mining as required under Rule 6.4.8(d). <br />11) In the Vegetation Information, Exhibit J, it is noted that there are several types of cacti within the <br />proposed mining area. Please supply a statement that clarifies that none of the noted cacti or <br />other vegetation is listed as endangered as was done in the Wildlife Exhibit. <br />12) Please supply staff with the dates and Final Comment Date for the required Public Notice as <br />soon as possible. <br />As noted above, this is a Preliminary Review. As the process continues additional issues may need <br />clarification or corrections. The Bureau of Land Management may also have additional requirements or <br />stipulations. The BLM issues may or may not be jurisdictional for the Division, but will be noted within <br />the permit for cross agency monitoring purposes.
