The plan shows areas where reduction in the amount
of major disturbance present on the site will be effected in order to
reduce the amount of bond needed for the operation. Some areas
discussed are already completed and other areas are in the process of
being done. Transit Mix Concrete decided they did not want to wait on
the implementation because of the amount of work needed and the fact
that it will not be very long before seeding can be started.
The plan includes a large map that shows each of the areas to be
reclaimed or returned to its premining condition. Four cross sections
are provided of areas where considerable change in the existing
topography will occur. These sections primarily provide an idea of the
degree of change that will occur in these areas, but should not
necessarily be used as design criteria. These sections contain a great
deal of vertical exaggeration.
A narrative is also provided that describes what is expected to occur in
each of the areas defined on the map, the acreage of each area, and the
timetable for implementation. The narrative also provides comments on
the revegetation to be implemented in each area.
5
