Box 614
Dove Creek, Colorado 81324
Re: Bartley Gravel Pit
File No. M-84-155
Dear Mr. Bucher:
I have completed my review of your limited impact permit appli-
cation for the Bartley Gravel Pit. I have several questions and
comments that I have organized on an exhibit-by-exhibit basis
below. Any exhibit or part thereof not mentioned is considered
adequate now. Please respond to this letter at your earliest
convenience, but certainly by no later than September 21, 1984.
In this way, I will be able to review your response and comment,
as necessary. If we can resolve these few adequacy question
areas before the scheduled September 26-27, 1984 meeting of the
Mined Land Reclamation Board, this matter can be considered by
the Board in a "no problem" written format. In this case, you
would not need to be present at the meeting.
Before the Board can consider this application, our Division must
1 receive the proof of the two sequential weeks of publication
(publisher's affidavit or a copy thereof) and the proofs of no-
tification of all immediately adjacent landowners and the owners
of the proposed permit area itself (certified mail white or green
receipts). Please send us these items as soon as they are avail-
able.
Exhibit B
J 1. What is the planned depth of mining on the permit area?
J 2. What is the planned life of the mining operation?
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel. {303) 866-3567
