Introduction <br />Permit Revision 1. The 1991 Hydrologic Monitoring Program was initiated at the Seneca If-W <br />Mine upon approval of Permit Revision Number 1 IPR1) in October of 1991. A major part of the <br />program is the utilization of ground water monitoring wells which replace older wells that have <br />produced suspect or no data. Select monitoring wells are retained as part of the proposed <br />program. Two surface water sites and eight ground water sites are added to the current <br />program. Surface Sites FG4 and FG5, and ground water Sites 20A, 21 A, 22A, and 23A initiated <br />monitoring in 1991. Four additional ground water sites, USGS A1, A3, A8, and A12 also began <br />monitoring in 1991, Spring Site S-7 has been deleted from the current program. Table 1 <br />presents a summary of the current surface and ground water monitoring sites. Information on <br />the current program is found on Pages 9 and 12, Tab 15, Hydrologic Monitoring Program. <br />Monitoring will proceed according to the frequencies and types of monitoring described in the <br />following program. <br />Permit Renewal 2. Permit Renewal 2 (November, 19951 modified the ground water monitoring <br />program. All monitoring of Wells 150V, 15W, 7A1, and 23A was dropped. Water quality <br />monitoring of Wells 180V and 18W was dropped. <br />15-3-1 Revised 01102 <br />
