Upon visitation to the site which <br />lies ebng the Arkansas River corridor at Nyberg Road, the following conCema are in question. <br />The proposed site includes riparian and upland habitats used try marry species at wildlife inclutling two <br />species of deer, waterfowl, neo-tropical migrams, turkey arW various smtdt mammals. This sate <br />_ij cdMains a largo number of old growth cotton wood trees which are exbemeN Important to this <br />habitat type. Removal of these trees world Ire detrinrentel to marry types of witdli}e. This type of <br />habitat is limited to the river Corridor and mom of the species listed above use this riparian habitat <br />exclusiveN. A very smatl percentage of this type of habitat exists in Pueblo County, therefore making <br />ttris area quke important for wildlife, <br />The irdVrmation that was provided to the Division of Wildlife did not include a reclamation plan or a <br />plan of action.
