<br />EXHIBIT D-1 - WILDLIFE INFORMATION <br />Bachelor Mines-Syracuse Level - Federal Resources Corporation <br />July 22, 1980 <br />The following information pertaining to wi1dl:Fe is provided fo: use t~; <br />the Land Reclamation Board in their consideration of a mining p=_rmit <br />for Federal Resources (Syracuse Level - Bachelor Mine) <br />(Precious Metals) <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife does hereby find, to the best of ou: <br />knowledge, that the impact of the proposed mining operation an wildli~e <br />will he <br />X minor <br />moderate <br />major <br />Mina Location: SIJ; Sec. 18, T 44 N, R 7 V! and SE; Sec.13, T 44 N, R 8 I•!, NMPM <br />Wildlife Species List: (may 6e attached) Bighorn sheep, deer, elk occasionally, <br />bear, mountain lion, cottontail rabbit, and blue grouse <br />Endangared Species Impacted: None known <br />Ass~spment pP Impart on Wildlife: !linter time activity will impact winter range <br />activities of deer, e k and bighorn sheep. <br />r <br />Hine Reclamation Recommendations: (may be attached) We would recommend the <br />area be reseeded with native vegetation. Trees should include aspen and spruce. <br />Native grasses and fortis should be used as much as possible. Crested wheatgrass <br />should be, used throughout the operation to stabilize loose slopes and help control <br />erosion.
