In a few pedons, a calcic horizon is present about <br />17 inches below the surface. Mottling is common below 10 inches. When the water <br />table is within 2 feet of the surface, mottling may be visible at the surface. The <br />subsoil and underlying materials are variously colored stratified sands with some <br />gravels.
