To Whom It May Concern:
In accordance with part A.5 of Powderhorn's permit, a "Salinity
Report" has been prepared to evaluate possible methods and costs
for salt reduction or elimination.
The report Was prepared for two salt loading scenarios: The
current level as calculated in the rationale to our CDPS permit
and the projected long term discharge which includes outfall 002.
The following tables have been prepared to show the minimum and
maximum economic affects at coal production levels of 320,000
clean tons/year, 1992 level, and 800,000 clean tons/year,
a former typical level.
