Therefore, waste pile diversions
are required. They are listed below with comments, and book and page
references.
C-80-007 - Pit. Gunnison
The lower waste pile diversion is calculated using a 10 year, 24 hour event,
as stated on page 21 of Appendix C-2, within Volume 12 of said permit. This
pile is in the process of being constructed.
The upper waste pile diversion is designed fora 10 year, 24 hour event, as
stated on page 42 of Section 3, within Volume 11 of said permit. Please note
that this pile has been permitted, but has not been constructed as of this
memo.
C-83-038 = Orchard Yall
The East Ridge and the West Ridge waste pile diversions are calculated using a
100 year, 24 hour event, as stated on various pages of the Stability Analysis
section of Volume 6A of said permit.
C-81-034 - Red Ca
The main site diversion is calculated using a 100 year, 24 hour event, as
stated on page 128a, Section 2.05.4(2)(c) of Volume 1 of said permit.
However, this diversion is not only for the wastepile. It runs entirely
through the site, from North to South, and is located below the waste pile.
There are two terrace ditches that run through the cover on the wastepile, but
these are not considered the main diversions. Also, there is no undisturbed
diversion at the top of the waste pile.
~C-81-047 - Blue Ribbon
The Kline bench diversion, labeled "B&C", is calculated using a 100 year, 24
hour event, as stated on page C-6 of Appendix C of said permit. This
diversion also drains the undisturbed drainage also labeled "B&C".
215 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203-2 27 3 Tel. (303) 866-3567
