BOX 187 <br />Craig, CO 81626 <br />Re: Trapper Mine, C-81-010, Second Quarter 2004 Sediment Pond Inspection Reports <br />Deaz Mr. Mattern: <br />The Division has reviewed Trapper Mining Inc.'s Second Quarter 2004 Sediment Pond Inspection reports. <br />TMI's second quarter 2004 sediment pond reports were received by the Division on June 21, 2004. Timely <br />submittal of these reports is in compliance with Rule 4.05.9(17). Sediment pond inspections were <br />conducted by TMI on June 14, 15, and 17, 2004. <br />The majority of the ponds were dry during the second quarter inspection. Two ponds were reported <br />discharging at the NPDBS point at the time they were inspected. These ponds include No Name No. 5 and <br />Middle Flume No. 3. Maintenance items noted in the reports included; replace sediment marker in Middle <br />Flume #3, clean the sediment delta at the inlet of Middle Flume #3, and monitor the vegetation on the <br />upstream embankment slope on Horse # 1 pond.. No significant problems with the ponds were reported for <br />second quarter 2004.
