Seedlings will be planted by clearing the immediate area of other potentially competing growth and by creating a depression to collect water. D-4.4 Fertilization Fertilizer requirements will be determined by laboratory analysis of the growth medium. As with other similar areas in the Rockies, the fertilizer requirement of the soils is expected to be 20-20- ]0 (N-P-K) or equivalent, to be applied at the approximate rate of 100 pounds per acre at the time of seeding.
