<br />SMUGGLER MINE SITE <br />The permit area is located near the base of Smuggler Mountain. The undisturbed vegetation <br />both in and around the permit area changes as the mountain side changes to valley bottom. The <br />vegetation type of the higher elevations of the permit area is Oak, which changes to <br />Serviceberry/Oak and Sage/Serviceberry vegetation types lower on the hillside. Aspen trees occupy <br />the more moist and protected areas and the vegetation type (prior to extensive suburban <br />development) of the area below the pemvt boundary on the alluvial valley floor was Sagebrush. <br />As required, the vegetation types found in and around the permit area are shown on <br />Application Exhibit E, the Mining/Reclamation Map. The common names of some of the more <br />prominent plant species are presented in TABt_E 1. <br />TABLE 1.
