2.7 Roads
The kienau #2 Mine has one access road which begins at State
Highway 13/789 to the bathhouse office parking lot 1330 feet),
switches back in a simple loop (230 feet) and terminates at the
portal bench (about 70 feet). This road was in existance when
Northern became the operator of the mine in 1977. The
construction techniques are unknown, however, stability and
drainage problems have not been encountered. A plan view of the
road and cross-section are given in Exhibits M'3 and M-'} of
Volume VII -
