eh <br />• ESPEY, HUSTON b ASSOCIATES, INC. <br />2.0 DESCRIPTION OF OPERATIONS <br />2.1 NORTHERN NO. 1 (FF-SEAM) MINE <br />2.1.1 Description Of Mine Plan Area And Permit Term Information <br />The Northern No. 1 (FF-Seam) Mine is located approximatley 8 miles <br />northeast of Meeker, Colorado and 0.8 mile east of State Highway 13/789. Mining <br />will take place on Federal leases C-1545 and C-28358 and a fee lease owned by W. <br />Jensen, et al. <br />Portal location for this mine began under a Notice of Intent to Prospect <br />issued by the CMLRB on May 31, 1978. A continuous miner developed the portals <br />• and continued driving entries after a Section 112 state mining permit was received <br />on July 6, 1979 (CMLRB No. 79-9). <br />2.1.2 Line Plan And Ma.ior Equipment <br />Mineable reserves have been estimated at 11,108,000 tons. <br />Recoverable reserves have been estimated to be 6,646,683, yielding <br />a reco•:e~~y of 60 percent (Table C-1).
