• application C-2267ti. Ttie area shown in photos <br />(Figure 7) was mined in 1974, recontoured and <br />topsoiled in 1975 and seeded in May 1975. Post <br />minim production on an air dryed basis was <br />1260"/acre in 1977 and 2626"/acre in 1978. Play: <br />basal cover in 1976 was 22P and in 1977 was 22.2;. <br />This area is presently used for alfalfa hay <br />production and has been released from State of <br />Colorado bond (personal communication, Energy F~z1s <br />Corp.). <br />Data from undisturbed portions of the application <br /> area xas 34.2P plant basal cover for sagebrush <br />• vegetation type xith a production of 1338"/acre. <br /> Bottomland native hay meadcws plant basal cover was <br />59.2$ and had production of 73461;/acre (persona. <br />communication, Energy Fuels Corp.). <br />In those areas where soils are designated as be'_ng <br />poor for reclamation, soil amendments may be <br />required to obtain necessary production, or spec'_es <br />seeded that are more tolerant of adverse soils :o <br />revegetation efforts.
