1
~~
i A map showing the relative locations of the three applications is
? attached as Figure 1.
i
i All three of the coal lease applications are immediately adjacent to
f
energy Fuels on-going surface operations. Coal lease applications
C-22644 and C-26913 are adjacent to Energy Pit P1, and application
C-22676 is adjacent to Energy Pit :3 (see Exhibit 1). The
d
~ applications are located southwest of Steamboat Springs.
I In lieu of the fact that the three coal lease applications are in the
same general area and have been applied fcr by a single coapany, all
three applications will be covered by one TE/EAR. This will also
enable a determination of the eu/ulative or aggregate impacts of a.l
I
i
three applications to be made. Environmental conditions or proposed
actions found to be unique to a particular application xill be
j indicated in this TE/EkR, and referenced by application number.
J
1
A detailed Unit Resource Analysis (U AA) and hlanagement Framework Plan
~ (MFP) for the Williz~s Fork Planning Unit have been completed and
~? include the lznds of the subject applications. The MFP for the

Williams Fork Planning Unit was completed in 1974 and updated in 1977.
A review of this MFP has revealed that this proposed action is
compatible with the recommendations set forth in the dccw~ent. Tire
URA and MFP can be used to supplement this reccrt when it is dee=ed
~ that additional data are required. The URA and MFP are available for
1
public inspection at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Craig
District Office, 455 Emerson Strect, Craig, Colorado 81625.
i -
1
_ 2
