Corporation comprises three non-contiguous tracts
separated by distances of 1.5 to 8 miles, Despite this
geographical detachment, all three tracts are
characterfzed by similar climate, topography, and
geologic setting and, thus, appear to have generally
similar hydrologic characteristics.
Tracts C-22644 and C-26913 lie on a moderately
dissected dipslope surface adjacent to the current'_y
active Enerby Fuels Pit l;t (Figure 4). The land su^-
face slopes generally northwestward at a gradient c°
I
about 700-1,000 ft/mi (feet per mile). Stream vallsys
~ cut into this surface drain 3enerally northward at a
gradient of 400-900 ft/mi. Runoff from the north to
northwest-facing slopes collects in an unnamed inte^-
i
~ mittent stream that flows northeastward approximate_y
1
~ paralleling the course of Foidel Creek about half a
i
~ mile further northwest. This unnamed stream turns
I
i
northeastward and joins Foidel Creek near the base of
Pinnacle Peak just north of tract C-26913. Essent'_ally
all streams draining those parts of the tiro tracts that
~ would be mineC are ephemeral, except during years o°
high snowfall when prolonged runoff from the north-
. facing slopes contir:=_s into early summer.
I
~ Tract C-22675 is divided into western and eastern
•
I
34
__.. .- ._. _..... .- .. ~ ~-~ ~.-. .. - ....~...: --.._~x:..~ 3_
