• follow the boxcut, and mine the east central portion of the <br />.subject application area. This dragline would stop its <br />southwesterly advance at the center of the lease application <br />where a north-south trending gully has apparently eroded <br />away the mineable coal seam. On the western side of the <br />gully where the Wadge seam is in place, overburden removal <br />would be accomplished with a Marion 7400 14 yard bucket <br />capacity dragline. All the strip pits on the lease <br />application would be oriented in a northeast-southwest <br />direction. It is anticipated that mining would commence in <br />1979 and terminate in 1986. Figure 2 shows the preliminary <br />mine plan sequence anticipated by Energy Fuels. <br />• The following subsection provides a deCailed descripticn of <br />the sequence of mining procedures that would be employed by <br />Energy Fuels if they are the successful bidder on coal lease <br />application C-22644. <br />Soil M=_terial Removal <br />Mining activity begins with removal of the topsoil. All <br />available topsoil, namely A and B horizons, would be removed <br />with push-pull scrapers. Hhen the operation is running <br />smoothly, the topsoil would be removed and replaced Imme- <br />diately.
