Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natual Resource Trustee <br />On February 28, 2006, DMG approved the application for the Upper Animas Sand and Gravel <br />operation. The 5.9-acre permit area is located in portions of Section 31, T42N, R6W, NMPM, <br />San Juan County. During the review period DMG received an objection to the application from <br />Animas Rivers Stakeholders Group, and comments from US Army Corps of Engineers and <br />Bureau of Land Management. <br />Pursuant to Rule 1.4.11(1), any person who can demonstrate that he or she is directly and <br />adversely affected or aggrieved by DMG's approval decision, and whose interests are entitled to <br />legal protection under the Act may petition for a hearing before the Board. Such petition shall <br />state how the petitioner is directly and adversely affected or aggrieved by the approval decision, <br />and how the petitioner's interests are entitled to protection under the Act. The petition must <br />specify the permit number and must be received within 30 days of the approval date.
