r~

EXHIBIT -L- RECLAMATION COSTS
•
•
The Avery pit will be reclaimed by stripping the topsoil
from the new area to be mined and spreading the topsoil
over the slopes of the already mined area. The stripping
and topsoil operation will cost $326/AC.
The newly topsoiled areas will be seeded and fertilized
as the soil conservation service has recommended. (See
exhibit 1) The application rate will be double the
recommended rate (See page 2 of soil conservation service
letter) or 12.4 pounds per acre of pure live seed. A Jan.
15,1979 quote from Arkansas Valley seed for the seed only
is $9Q.64 per acre.
The American Fertilizer Co. recommends a 20-20-0
combination of 200# 1 acre of fertilizer. This will comply
with the soil conservation service recommendations. The
Jan.1979 cost of fertilizer will be $18.20 per acre.
The labor cost for seeding and fertilizing based on
$5./hr. for labor will be $25/acre.
The total reclamation cost is $463.84 per acre.
•
°?~'
y
•
